Swimming pools in Paris are many and can either be found indoors or outdoors.Summer, which comes in August is the best time to go swimming in Paris. Other than the designs, the pools are just like the ones you are used to but of course with some rules attached:
- You are to wear you swimming cap to avoid spreading hairs on the surface of the pool and clogging the filters.
- You are to shower before getting in to the pool for hygiene purposes.
- Avoid going there if you have a cold, cough, sore throat or any other diseases you might spread to people.
- You are to avoid walking in shoes around the pool for hygiene purposes.
Before getting into the pool area you can always check at the entrance for a statement of approval by the City of Paris Health Department. (they take a sample of the water and analyse it at a State-approved laboratory. The results are displayed in the swimming pool entrance hall.)

Going to Paris from London?
Most of us,especially non-Europeans, are used to moving around by air because it’s probably the only means we know .But the train is another fantastic means that will allow you to move comfortably while at the same time having a view of many places along the way.The Eurostar-London Paris train is a high speed train which operates from Paris to London. The train starts from St Pancras International Station in London (UK) and ends in Paris at Gare Du Nord International station, connecting hundreds of other European stations.
The time might seem to be shorter when travelling by air than by train but at the end of the day you might end up spending the same time because of the procedures involved to and from the airport;taxis, waiting time in between…
Euro-star is also as comfortable as the plane with facilities for disabled people (sometimes even special rates for them). The only thing that might make you not use the Eurostar train is if you are travelling with your pet (especially dogs) because they are not allowed.Luggage is just as in planes and tickets have to be reserved.Kids below four years travel free of charge, those between four and eleven years pay a price less than the normal one and those above twelve years pay normal rates. Also, kids below 12 years are not allowed to travel alone.
The train is cheaper that the plane so if you don’t have to reach Paris urgently, try it out!
